This is a one step procurement process. Overview Tauranga City Council (TCC) have two approved marine projects in the current Long Term Plan Fishermans Wharf and Centra Plaza Wharf. Fishermans Wharf is at the end of its useable life and needs to be extended beyond 2034 either by upgrade or replacement. As part of the Waterfront Masterplan 2022 and the Te Manawataki O Te Papa Masterplan 2021 the development of a recreational wharf including facilities for ticketing, public conveniences and food and beverage outlet was approved. The proposed new structure will be known as Central Plaza Wharf and located at the end of Wharf Street. Council has approved a procurement approach to engage with the professional services supplier market, seeking to develop feasibility designs and associated initial costings for the two wharves. This will be a single stage procurement approach and the RFP is being prepared for release early in 2024. Scope of Services The scope of this procurement process will include: Fishermans Wharf Review the existing Condition Assessment Report and accompanying information Recommend repairs as appropriate to extend the serviceable life of the existing structure Develop a feasible design for a new structure for this wharf Prepare supporting reports, drawings, and rough order cost estimates. Central Plaza Wharf Progress the existing concept design through to feasible design. Prepare supporting reports and rough order cost estimates. Term The tenure will be up to 2 years. Procurement Programme: A procurement process is planned to be advertised on GETS commencing in January 2024. The RFP is due to close in February 2024, with contract award in March 2024. Indicative timeframes: RFP anticipated to be released 16th January 2024 Project Commencement: March 2024 Project Completion: May 2024, contract term - two years.
