The General Directorate Of The Maritime Territory And Merchant Marine, Hereinafter Directemar, In Compliance With Its Functions Described In Decree Law No. 2,222 (Replaces Navigation Law), And Representative Of The State Of Chile For Issues Related To The Security Of The Human Life At Sea, Implemented And Has Been Operating Since 2009, The Ship Positioning System In The Maritime Area Defined As “Long Range Identification And Tracking System” For Ships (Lrit).
