Tenders are invited for Education Computer System 1 Set Classification of the Products to be Procured : 14, 27 Nature and Quantity of the Products to be Rent : Education Computer System 1 Set Type of the Procurement : Rent Basic Requirements of the Procurement : A the System will be Installed at School of Computing, Tokyo Institute of Technology. It Consists of Boot Servers, File Servers, User Terminals, A Local Area Network, System and Application Software, And Other Components. B the Response Time and the Processing Speed must be Sufficient to Simultaneously Support 180 User-Terminals Operated by 180 Students. C the System must Provide the Execution Environment and Education Support for Various Programming Languages, Document Editors, And Various Free Software for Education. D Energy Saving, Smaller-Footprint, Noise-Reduction, Fault Tolerance, Security, And Extensibility must be Considered in the System Design. The System Maintenance should be Easy. E the Vendor must Quickly Respond to System Troubles and Regularly Update the Software so that the Reliability and Availability of the System will be Sufficient for the Education.
