Tenders Are Invited For Limiting The Occurrence Of American Bird Cherry (Treatment 3) As Part Of The Project Restitution And Active Protection Of The Capercaillie In The Solska Forest
Part I - Jan w Lubelski Forest Districtimprovement Of The Quality Of The Capercaillie Biotope In The Jan w Lubelski Forest District Consisting In Limiting The Occurrence Of American Bird Cherry Under The Canopy Of Stands And On Crops In A Total Area Of Approx. 60 Ha. The Service Includes The Removal Of Black Cherry Suckers In An Area Of Approx. 60 Ha After Felling In 2020-2021 By: - Manual Removal Of Young Plants (1-3-Year-Old Seedlings) Along With The Entire Root System; - Cutting Out The Suckers, And Then Lifting And Stacking The Cut Cherry Trees In Undersized Piles, Leaving Them On The Surface In A Place Indicated By The Ordering Partys Representative, So As To Enable Repeated Treatment. In Crops, The Removal Of Suckers Should Be Done In Such A Way As To Expose The Trees Left For Further Cultivation. Cherry On The Plots Occurs Singly Or In Small Groups, In Crops It Is In A Significant Minority Compared To The Main Growing Species. The Average Surface Coverage Is Presented In The Tables With The Location Of Treatments (Appendix No. 4). Height Up To 1 M. Even Or Undulating Terrain. 1-3-Year-Old Seedlings Should Be Pulled Out By Hand. The Remaining Works Should Be Carried Out Using Hand-Held Mechanical Tools, E.G. A Chainsaw, Petrol Brush Cutter On A Boom, Etc., Or Hand Tools, E.G. Forest Addresses) Where Individual Works (Activities) Are Planned - Annex No. 4.
