Notice Of Intent To Direct Awardprime Architectural Services For E605-00 Bcc Vcc - Parkade Renewaldocument Number: 5302_E605-00The Provincial Health Services Authority (Phsa) Intends To Enter Into An Agreement With Read Jones Christoffersen (Rjc) Ltd. The Value Of This Contract Shall Be Up To $230,000.00 Plus Tax.Phsa Is Proposing To Hire The Incumbent, Rjc, For The Remaining Construction Administration Services Of Phase 1 And To Continue To Provide Construction Administration Services For Phases 2 And 3. There Is A Building Permit In Place Which Covers All 3 Phases Of Construction. The Construction Contract Allows For The Addition Of Phases 2 And 3 Without Retender. Phase 1 Is Intended To Complete In January 2024. Phsa Intends To Proceed In January Of 2024 With The Work In Phases 2 And 3. In The Structural Assessment Memo Dated November 10Th, 2023, It Is Noted That There Are Risks To Delaying The Completion Of Phases 2 And 3.The Provincial Health Services Authority Has Chosen Not To Use A Request For Proposal (Rfp) Process But Negotiate The Contemplated Contract For The Following Reasons:- The Current Phase 1 Construction Has Been Extended Requiring An Addition To The Consultant’S Contract Administration Services For Time Extension.- To Assure Construction Work For Phases 2 And 3 Commence In January Of 2024, Phsa Needs To Extend The Existing Consultant Contract For Contract Administration And Utilize The Existing Building Permit And Design Drawings.- Proceeding With An Rfp Process For Contract Administration Services Would Result In Demobilization By The Contractor, Retendering Of Construction Services, Potential Redesign, And Loss Of The Existing Building Permit.Prequalified Consultants May Challenge This Decision By Sending An Email To [email protected] On Or Before 15:00 Hours On December 8Th, 2023.Karl Eadieprocurement Consultant,Facilities Management Procurementemail: [email protected]
