Ontario Health Works To Connect And Coordinate Ontario’S Health Care System To Help Ensure That Ontarians Receive The Best Possible Care, Including Monitoring How The Health System Is Performing And Providing Evidence-Based Standards And Improvements To Address Any Gaps. Medical Imaging Plays A Pivotal Role In Health Outcomes For Ontario Patients, Providing Key Information Used To Plan Next Steps For Care – From Early Detection Of Disease, Or Confirming/Excluding A Diagnosis, To Planning Treatments Such As Surgery. Increasingly, Medical Imaging Also Has A Role In Therapies Through Interventional Procedures Or Image-Guided Treatments. This Role Is A Unique Opportunity To Provide Strategic Leadership To The Evolution Of Ontario’S Healthcare System As It Relates To Medical Imaging.
