Tenders are invited for Pailles Guibies Sewerage Project Phase 3 Contract Ww 509 W - Construction of Trunk Sewer, Reticulation Network, and Cwa Connection Works. The Pailles Guibies Sewerage Project-Phase 3 is located immediately south of Port Louis. The catchments fall on the eastern side of the M1 motorway extending from Pailles Cemetry Road to Morcellement Le Roc including the St Louis River No.1. The site covers an area of approximately 0.7 km2 and includes undeveloped land, residential and commercial properties. The existing road network falls under the jurisdiction of the Municipality of Port Louis (MCPL). The Contractors attention is drawn to the fact that the project area comprises numerous narrow surfaced roads and confined spaces along which the sewer network will have to be constructed. Working space will be severely restricted in many instances and double handling of materials will be required. The Contractors rate of progress in these areas is likely to be slow, particularly when deep excavations are required. Private houses and other structures are situated in many instances, in very close proximity to the sewer reticulation network alignments. As such, the Contractor is required to carefully assess the appropriate equipment and construction methodology to be used to reduce the potential risk of damage to all existing structures.
