The Council Currently Operates A Community Radio Broadcasting Licence Which Is Due To Expire On 16 June 2025. The Broadcasting Service Licence Number Is 1180039 And The Licence Area Of The Licence Is Norfolk Island Ra1. Pursuant To The Licence, The Council Owns And Operates A Community Radio Station (Radio Norfolk). Radio Norfolk Is An Important Community Service To The Remote Norfolk Island Community And Remains An Effective Method To Deliver Information To The Community On The Island. Council Is Undertaking An Expression Of Interest (Eoi) Process To Identify A Community Organisation That May Potentially Be Suited To Hold A Community Broadcasting Licence, Representing The General Geographic Area Of The Territory Of Norfolk Island, Thereby Enabling Council To Apply To The Acma For A Transfer Of Its Licence To A Suitable Community Broadcasting Licensee. Peak Services Are Managing This Eoi On Behalf Of Norfolk Island Regional Council.
