Request for Information (Market research) (RFI) for Request for Information (Rfi) for Provision of Cultural Safety Professional Training and Resources for Integrated Services for Sensitive Claims (Issc) Providers Open Date: Thursday, 16 November 2023 2:30 PM (Pacific/Auckland UTC+13:00) Close Date: Friday, 15 December 2023 5:00 PM (Pacific/Auckland UTC+13:00) Tender Type: Request for Information (Market research) (RFI) Tender Coverage: Sole Agency Regions: Auckland Bay of Plenty Canterbury Chatham Islands Gisborne Hawkes Bay Manawatu-Wanganui Marlborough Nelson Northland Otago Southland Taranaki Tasman Waikato Wellington West Coast Required Pre-qualifications: None Overview: The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to gain a better understanding of the cultural safety professional training, development, information, and resources available for providers delivering services to survivors of sexual violence in Aotearoa. The Integrated Services for Sensitive Claims (ISSC) Service schedule and operational guidelines set out the requirements for ISSC to be culturally responsive and recognise survivors individual and diverse beliefs and values. Cultural safety is centred around the experience of safe care and empowerment for survivors and their whnau, it requires those working in healthcare to recognise and respect cultural identities and communities of survivors and to safely meet their needs so that together we ensure positive outcomes. This includes acknowledging and addressing bias that may impact on the quality of health and rehabilitation services, access to those services or on the equity of health and outcomes. ACC is investigating how we can support ISSC suppliers and providers to deliver culturally safe services for all survivors. We aim to improve access to professional cultural development (training and resources) for ISSC suppliers and providers. We are interested in resources and training solutions that support providers in attending to the intersectional identity of a survivors ethnic culture, age, disability, gender identity and sexual orientation in a culturally safe way. This is to ensure everyone feels welcomed into culturally safe environments and they receive appropriate and equitable health care whatever their culture or community.
