Tenders are invited for Iraq - TA Economic Empowerment of Forcibly Displaced Women aim of directly supporting displaced womens economic empowerment in Iraq; the primary objective of the consulting assignment is to provide technical assistance to two selected Iraqi municipalities: (i) Diyala and (ii) Karkook related to (i) service orientation towards Iraqi women (including internally displaced) to support their economic empowerment and (ii) private sector gender-and IDPs-responsive engagement. The consulting assignment will produce three main sets of deliverables:* Developing materials for local capacity building of relevant stakeholders in the selected municipalities based on demand-driven solutions; and with reference to best practices (nationally and internationally); to provide recommendations on practical measures towards improving IDP womens economic participation with outset in existing binding constraints.* Providing technical assistance through a set of recommendations that could be beneficial to operationalize the developed material towards addressing Iraqi women including internally displaced womens economic empowerment; and private sector engagement; and contributing to building institutional capacity of relevant local stakeholders in the two Iraqi municipalities.*Capturing lessons learnt and sharing knowledge and best practices to the R-DWEE team that could be used to inform scale-up potential in other municipalities in Iraq; but also other countries in the region. Partners in the municipalities are to be identified for the technical assistance provision; but would include the municipalitys city manager; and relevant municipality units/ staff in charge of supporting womens economic empowerment and local development; including social development. The assignment will be carried out in close coordination with the World Bank team; who will help to make the formal connection with the municipalities and relevant government stakeholders.
