The bridge is expected to be 5m wide and around 240m long, with no piers in the river. This opportunity could have a significant positive impact on access, mobility, and amenity in central Hamilton, contributing to Councils strategic goals for residential growth, mode shift and the river environment. Council wishes to identify suitable contractor/designer teams to work with in a multi-stage procurement process commencing with this shortlisting for a concept design RFP.
