Over The Past Decade, The Town Has Implemented Various Major Event Concepts In August. This Includes North West Fest, North West Sundowner And The Recent 2022 Hedland Food Festival. Based On Recent Community Feedback, The Town Has Acknowledged A Desire For A Live Music Experience And A Festival Atmosphere That Caters For Our Diverse Audience. There Is A Strong Feeling And Spirit In The Community To Bring Back Live Music To Hedland.The Inaugural Odyssea Music And Arts Journey Took Place In 2023. The Event Spread Across 2 Weeks And Included 6 Nights Of Entertainment Options From Dj Sets To Comedy, Rock Umentary, Major Headliner Concert Complimented With A Family Friendly Sundowner And Kid S Day Out. These Events Were A Combination Of Free And Ticketed. There Were 5333 Attendees Over The 6 Events. Post-Event Feedback For Future Events Indicated A Strong Desire For A Headline Rock-Themed Variety Concert With A Combination Of High Quality Established And Wa Emerging Support Acts.In 2023, An Odyssea Brand Was Established And Is Expected To Be Built On For The Delivery Of The Event Over The Next Three Years.
