Collection, Reception, Treatment And Adoption Service For Abandoned, Helpless, Lost Or Confiscated Pets In The Municipality Of Sant Antoni De Portmany.. Law 1/1992, Of April 8, On The Prevention Of Animals That Live In The Human Environment, Establishes In Its Article 30 That The Town Councils Or, Where Appropriate, The Corresponding Supra-Municipal Entity Must Proceed To The Collection Of Stray Animals Or Abandoned And Shelter Them Until They Are Recovered, Transferred Or Sacrificed. The Ordinance Regulating The Possession Of Domestic Animals Of The Municipality Establishes In Its Articles That Abandoned, Confiscated, Sick, Injured Or Dead Animals Will Be Collected And Taken To The Appropriate Facilities By The City Council. It Also States In The Ordinance That The City Council, Through The Corresponding Service, Will Manage The Collection Of These Animals In Conditions Compatible With The Biological Needs Of The Species And The Appropriate Hygienic-Sanitary Requirements. This Contract Proposes The Contracting Of The Necessary Services To Guarantee The Collection And , Reception Of Pets That May Be Abandoned, Helpless, Lost Or Confiscated By The City Council And Their Transfer To The Corresponding Custody Center Or Veterinary Center In Case They Are Sick Or Injured. It Also Contemplates The Treatment Of These Sick Or Injured Animals, The Management Of Deceased Animals, As Well As The Actions To Be Carried Out For The Recovery Of The Animals By Their Owners Or Their Adoption, Complying With Municipal Obligations Regarding Animal Management. Abandoned Animals And Animal Welfare. This Contract Is Also Drawn Up In Anticipation Of The Entry Into Force Of Law 7/2023, Of March 28, On The Protection Of The Rights And Welfare Of Animals.
