Notice Is Hereby Given That Vancouver Coastal Health Authority (Vcha) Through Their Collective Agent Provincial Health Services Authority ( Phsa ), Intends To Directly Award A Contract To The Following Supplier To Provide The Supply Of Hematology Dna Typing Tray Consumables For Vancouver General Hospital For A Term Of 7 Years (5 Years Contract + 1+ 1 Optional Extensions) At An Estimated Value Of Cad 6.3 M.One Lambda Inc.21001 Kittridge Streetcanoga Park, California, Usa, 91304 Supplier In Accordance With Applicable Trade Agreements, Phsa, As Agent For The Vcha Has Chosen Not To Proceed With A Competitive Process For The Following Reason:The Goods Or Services Can Be Supplied Only By The Selected Supplier And No Alternative Or Substitute Exists For The Following Reason:A Change Of Supplier Would Cause Significant Inconvenience Or Substantial Duplication Of Costs For The Procuring Entity. One Lambda Supplies Reagent Consumables Consisting Of Dna Typing Trays Used Within The Hematology Department Of Vancouver General Hospital (Vgh). Lab Professionals Have Determined That The One Lambda Dna Typing Trays Offer The Most Appropriate Gene Coverage And Detection Regions For Vgh Diagnostic Purposes. Each Vendors Product Varies And Does Not Meet The Precise Requirements Of Patients. Moreover, The Laboratory Accreditation Body (Ashi) Has Extremely Strict Validation Requirements, Making The Costs Of Switching (Both Labor And Consumables) Unfeasible.
