It Is An Upgraded 24Km Four-Lane Corridor Through Existing Rural, Residential, Lifestyle Areas And Greenfield Sites And Includes A Separated Shared Pathway For Walking And Cycling Along The Full Length Of The New Highway. The 2nl Project Is Being Developed Though A Project Partnership Of Waka Kotahi, Muapoko Tribal Authority And Ng Hap Of Ngti Raukawa Ki Te Tonga Along With Council Partner Horowhenua District Council (Hdc). The Project Will Improve The Safety And Resilience Of The Transport Network Between taki And North Of Levin, Support Regional Growth And Deliver Important Outcomes For The Wider Community And Keep People Safe And Connected. The Project Is Committed To Delivering A Positive Legacy Through A Series Of Legacy Outcomes And To Achieve A Sector Shift In Key Areas. Further To The Previous Expression Of Interest Process, Waka Kotahi And Project Partners Are Now Looking To Select Two Separate Consortia Of Designers And Constructors Who Have The Vision, Experience, Capacity, Understanding, And Commitment To Deliver Outstanding Outcomes On The 2nl Project To Participate In A Project Alliance.
