Part 1: Microgrid Control System The New Microgrid Control System, Including Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (Scada) And Historian, Will Be Capable Of Controlling And Monitoring The Following Components On The Ross Island Microgrid: The Wind Farm (Upgraded To 3 X Ewt Dw54x-1000Kw Turbines) The Bess (Described In This Rfi And Included In The Upcoming Rfp) United States Mcmurdo Station Powerhouses (Comprising Of 5 X Diesel Generators) New ZealandS Scott Base Powerhouse (Comprising Of 3 X Diesel Generators And A Frequency Converter) Part 2: Battery Energy Storage System Antarctica New Zealand Is Seeking A New Battery Energy Storage System (Bess) To Provide Grid-Smoothing And Energy Storage Services For The Ross Island Microgrid. Antarctica New Zealand Requires An Inverter Rating Of 2 Mw (With Some Flexibility To Accommodate Different Providers, 0.5 Mw), However The Mwh Rating Should Be Optimised Based On Antarctica New ZealandS Available Budget (Discussed Further Under WhatS Important To Us).
