2024 Fitzsimmons Creek Flood Protection And Maintenance Program Environmental Monitoring . The Resort Municipality Of Whistler (Rmow) Intends To Engage An Environmental Consultant To Undertake Environmental Monitoring And All Related Monitoring Tasks Associated With Any Of The Work Relating To Gravel Extraction Within The Fitzsimmons Creek System. These Works Are To Be Contracted For 2024 With The Possible For Two One Year Extensions (2025 And 2026) In Favour Of Rmow. The Primary Objectives Of The Environmental Monitor (Em) Is To Ensure That All Environmental Issues Including, But Not Limited To, The Health Of The Streams And Watercourses, Air And Water Quality, Wildlife And Wild Life Habitats, And Riparian Vegetation Are Protected And Maintained For The Duration Of The Project. The Rmow Is Currently Holds A Permit With The Ministry Of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations And Rural Development For Permission To Complete The Required Gravel Extraction From 2021-2024.
