Pricing And Payment Terms Are Available On The Merx Website.Description Of Procurementthe University Is Conducting An Rfp For In Situ Nanoindenterthe Department Of Materials Science & Engineering Requires A Nano-Indentation Mechanical System That Can Be Used To Perform Nano-Mechanical Measurements Of Mechanical Properties On A Wide Range Of Materials, Inside As Well As Outside Sem.The Equipment Should Enable Nano-Indentation And In-Situ Mechanical Testing Of Materials Such As Thin Films, Ceramics, Polymers, Metals, Pillars, And Cantilevers Using Both Quasi-Static And Dynamic Nano-Indentation Techniques With High Spatial Resolution. This Mechanical Testing Device Should Be Operable Inside A Scanning Electron Microscope So That Imaging Can Be Completed During Testing And Operable On A Laboratory Benchtop So That Testing Can Be Completed When The Sem Is Being Used For Other Purposes. The Tester Should Be Driven By Piezoelectric Actuators In True Displacement Control Mode To Achieve Higher Stability In Micropillar Compression Tests. The Tester Should Be Able To Work In Extreme Conditions, Including High-Frequency Cyclic Loading, High Strain Rate, And High Temperature. The System Should Provide Automated Sequential Testing Of Multiple Tests Without User Interaction After Initial Loading And Setting Up Test Locations. The System Should Have Easy To Use Test And Review Software That Enables Easy Training For New Users. The Software Should Be Programmable To Enable Development Of New Test Methods, Or The Proponent Should Provide Service To Customize Test Methods. The System Should Be Extendable To Add Light And Electric Fields To The Sample During Tests And Measure These Signals. The Mechanical Testing System Should Have Interchangeable Tips That Can Be Changed By The User, So That Flexibility In Research Applications And Tip Geometries For The Applications Can Be Optimized And Selected By The Researcher. In Addition, The System Should Also Be Easy And Safe To Carry During Airplane Travel To Enable Using The Device At Alternate Facilities.The Procurement Is Anticipated To Involve Negotiation.
