Runway 03-21 Kiruna Airport. Agreement Regarding Contracting Works Including Ground Work/Asphalting/Electrical Work At Kiruna Airport. Resurfacing With Mesh Reinforcement Of The Roller Coaster And Taxiways A And B, Approx. 150,000 M2. Twy A As Well As The Turning Points At Both Runway Ends Must Be Widened In Connection With The Resurfacing, Which Means That Ground And Electrical Work Is Also Required In Addition To The Actual Resurfacing Of The Runway. The Contract Also Includes A Number Of Other Ground Measures Near The Track Such As Building An Emergency Route From The Fire Station, Removing A Number Of Old Military Road Connections And Staging Areas Adjacent To The Track. The Construction Will Take Place During May 2024, Of Which The Airport Will Be Closed To Air Traffic V.2930, During These Weeks The Contractor Can Work Around The Clock, Other Weeks The Work Must Be Carried Out In The Evening And At Night.
