The Department Of Information Security And Communication Technology At The Norwegian University Of Science And Technology Is Establishing A Hardware Reverse Engineering (Hre) Lab At The Gjøvik Campus. The Hre Lab Will Facilitate Practical Experimentation, Research And Knowledge Creation And Dissemination And Educate And Train The Future Generation On Hardware Security In Academia, Government And Industry Through Creating New Knowledge And Best Practice. As Part Of The Hre Laboratory, We Establish Side Channel Analysis (Sca) Setups And Fault Injection Setups. Side Channel Analysis Tools Must Be Able To Extract And Record Traces From Current, Electromagnetic Radiation, Timing And Radio Frequency For Microcontrollers, Smart Cards And Fpga-Based Embedded Systems. The Fault Injection Setup Shall Support Voltage Faults And Electromagnetic Faults For Microcontrollers, Smart Cards And Fpga-Based Embedded Systems.
