Request For Expression Of Interest For Recruitment Of Senior Power Engineer (2) To Support The Rcu During The Project Implementation. Phase 1 Of The Reap, Entitled Ecowas-Reap, Covers The Gambia, Guinea Bissau And Mali. The Objective Is To Enable 2.04 Million People To Benefit From Electricity Services. The Funding Amounts To $225 Million. The Components Of Ecowas-Reap Are (I) Design, Supply And Installation Of Electricity Distribution Infrastructure, (Ii) Construction Supervision And Technical Advice And (Iii) Project Coordination And Implementation. Technical Assistance. The Project Created A National Project Implementation Unit (Cep) In Each Country Involved And A Regional Coordination Unit (Urc) Housed Within The Directorate Of Energy And Mines. Then, Phase 2 Of The Reap, Entitled Regional Project For Electricity Access Technology And Battery Energy Storage (Best) Began Its Preparation In 2022. It Covers Mauritania, Niger And Senegal For The Access Component And Ivory Coast, Mali And Niger. For The Battery Component. The Objective Is To Increase Peoples Access To Electricity And Contribute To Stability And Better Energy Flow In The Wapp Transport System. The Funding Amounts To $465 Million. All Components Of Best Are (I) The Design, Supply And Installation Of Electricity Distribution Infrastructure, (Ii) The Design, Supply And Installation Of Best Equipment, (Iii) Construction Supervision And Technical Advice, And (Iv) Project Coordination And Technical Assistance. National Project Implementation Units (Umop) Were Also Created In Each Country Involved.
