The Ministry Of Infrastructure And Water Management (Ienw) Has Been Providing Subsidies For The Remediation Of Traffic Noise For Decades. I&W Does This Through The Traffic Noise Remediation Bureau (Bsv). To Date, The Subsidies Have Been Based On The Noise Nuisance Act And The Traffic Noise Remediation Subsidy Scheme (Ssv). These Subsidies Are Mainly Applied For By Municipalities. Approximately 25 To 30 Million Euros Are Awarded Annually In Subsidies, And Approximately 25 To 30 Million Euros Are Also Paid Out (Advance Payments And Final Settlements). As Of January 1, 2024, The Environmental Act, The Environmental Decree (Ob) And The Quality Of Living Environment Decree (Bkl) Will Come Into Effect, As Well As A Specific Regulation For The Remediation Of Traffic Noise (Rsv). Ienw Wants To Use This Moment To Conduct A Consultation To Investigate Whether Market Organizations Other Than Bsv Are Capable And Interested In Managing The Subsidy Program Under The Environment Act.
