Waitomo District Councils Roading Network Comprises Of Circa 1,010 Centerline Kilometers Which Is Split Across Sealed And Unsealed. The Unsealed Portion Makes Up Most Of The Network At Circa 550Km Whereas The Sealed Network Covers Slightly Less At 460Km. The Road Maintenance Services And Reseals Contract Is Due For Renewal, And We Are Inviting Prospective Contractors To Attend An Industry Briefing. The Contract Is Largely Based On Our Tried And Tested Zonal Maintenance Approach, Covering A Base Term Of 5 Years With The Ability To Extend A Further 2 Years Based On Performance And At CouncilS Discretion. The Contract Is Scheduled To Start On The 1St Of July, 2024. It Is Expected That This Contract Will Have An Annual Spend In The Realms Of $8M, And Consist Of The Following Key Activities: 1. Management And Customer Services, 2. Zonal Maintenance, 3. Cyclical Maintenance, 4. Vegetation Control, 5. Programmed Maintenance, 6. Call Out And Incident Response, 7. Emergency Re-Instatement, 8. Resurfacing, 9. Footpath Improvements And Renewals, 10. Drainage Renewals And, 11. Annual Line Marking, What Do We Need And WhatS Important To Us?
