The New Bridge Will Be A Single-Span Timber Superstructure Comprising Glulam Girders And A Plywood Bridge Deck, And Supported On New Precast Concrete Shallow Foundations And Mechanically Stabilised Embankments. New Instream Scour Protection Works Are Required Together With Ancillary Works. The New Timber Superstructure Is Viewed By Waka Kotahi As A Prototype Solution For Sustainable Replacement Of Short-Span Vehicle Bridges. Key Points Are - 1.
