The Reference Fleet Is A Selected Group Of Norwegian Fishing Vessels Which, In Return For Financial Compensation, Provide The Institute Of Marine Research With Detailed Information From Their Individual Catches And Their General Fishing Activity. Efforts Are Made To Include Vessels With Operating Patterns That Are Representative Of The Relevant Vessel Group. When Establishing The Reference Fleet, The Emphasis Was Placed On Achieving The Best Possible Nationwide Cooperation In The Fleet. Sampling And Processing Of Collected Data Takes Place According To The Same Procedures As On The Institute Of Marine Researchs Own Research Vessels.
