5.3.3Project Objective(S) The Project Is Intended To Deliver The Following Objectives: Develop Method Statements For Removing A Floating Offshore Wind Turbine From Its Installed Location And Returning It To The Quayside, With A Focus On Making Safe And Protecting The Integrity Of Mooring And Cabling Systems In Its Absence. Particular Focus Will Be Given To Cable Wet Mate/Quick Release And Protection As Well As Management Of Large Lengths Of Deep Water Cable / Mooring; Identify And Assess Solutions To Maintain Production From The Remaining Turbines In The Array That Have Been Interrupted By The Removal Of The Turbine Being Towed;Develop Method Statements For Quayside Management Of A Floating Offshore Wind Turbine During Major Maintenance Activities. (E.G. Guard Vessel/Anchoring Requirements, Exclusion Zones, Port Restrictions, Management Of High Tension Mooring Lines); Identify Innovation Opportunities Associated With These Activities To Reduce Risk, Cost Etc.
