Expression Of Interest Are Invited For Nature-Based Solutions For A Green And Resilient Bamako The Objective Of This Technical Assistance (Ta) Is To Identify And Prioritize Investments In Nature-Based Solutions (Nbs) And Greening Of Urban Areas More Broadly In Areas With High Levels Of Greenhouse Gas (Ghs); Heat Island; And Urban Flooding In The Greater Bamako Area. This Assignment Aims To Development An Nbs Investment Strategy For Bamako Taking Into Consideration Existing And Ongoing Studies In Bamako. This Will Allow Integration Of Green Or Hybrid Infrastructure In Drainage Infrastructure; Upgrading Of Public Spaces; And Other Investments Financed By The World Bank Bamako Urban Resilience Project (Pruba). The Expected Outcomes Are To Enhance Carbon Sequestration And To Improve The Quality Of Life In Vulnerable Neighborhoods Through The Reduction Of Urban Heat Island Effect And Exposure To Natural Hazards Such As Erosion And Flooding; And The Improvement Of Food Security With Urban Agriculture. Its Outcome Would Also Include Job Creation Through Either Associative And Participatory Or Labor-Intensive Public Works Approaches To Implementation And Management Of The Nature-Based Solutions; All Of Which To Be Assessed And Refined Through The Studies Included In This Tor.
