North Macedonia - Strenghtening Municipal Resilience To Corruption - Inception Phase Duration : 01.12.2023– 31.10.2024 (11 Months ) Main Phase 1 Duration : 01.11.2024-31.10.2028 (4 Years). The Project “Strengthening Municipal Resilience To Corruption In North Macedonia” Aims To Develop And Pilot Systems And Mechanisms That Will Enhance Transparency Within The Administration. It Will Also Propose Procedures/Mechanisms To Enhance Internal Control Systems And To Improve Checks And Balance Aiming At Reducing Discretionary Power Within Municipalities And Enhancing Transparency And Accountability Of Municipal Institutions. It Will Also, In Collaboration With Other Development Partners, Contribute To Increase Capacities Of National Oversight Institutions. Finally, The Project Will Work With Civil Society And Media To Increase Their Role In Monitoring How Municipal Funds Are Being Used And In Putting Pressure For More Accountability.
