The City Of Prince Rupertis Seeking Proposals From Qualified Proponents In Response To This Request For Proposals For The Provision Of Services (As Defined Herein) To Be Carried Out Within The Required Schedule Set Out Herein For Design, Build And Implementation Of New Traffic Controlling Devices Along Fulton And 3Rdavenue. The City Owns And Operates One Set Of Street And Traffic Lights. The Old “Traffic Timer Light System” Has Reached Its Life Expectancy. Parts And Materials To Keep This System Are Getting Either Expensive Or Hard To Come By. The City Is Looking To Take The Traffic And Pedestrian Lights Into The 21Stcentury. The City Is Looking To Implement A New Efficient Camera Traffic And Pedestrian Controlled System. Currently The System Is On A Timer For Both Vehicle And Pedestrian Cross Walk Traffic. It Uses An Old Motorola Systems Logic Board. New Traffic Cameras And Push Button Pedestrian Crossing Will Greatly Increase Vehicle Traffic Effectiveness And Efficiency. The Services For The Project Will Comprise The Preparation Of A Set Of Drawings/Sketches And Construction Services Incorporating The Need Of A New Traffic Cameras, Pedestrian Controlled And Computer System/Hub, Without Limiting: An Inspection Of Current System, Existing Lamp And Light Standards, Conduits, Control Module/Computer And Power To The System. Conceptual Design And List/Schematics Of Components Used For The New Traffic Control System Development And Completion Of Approved Design And Procurement Of Any And All Components Wireless Access To Traffic Light, Cameras, Hardware And Programing Preferred Any And All Conduits That Need To Be Replaced Or Added Is Up To The Proponent Tp Install And Construct. Street Or Sidewalk May Need To Be Cut And Trenched To Include New Conduit. Repairs To Be Conducted By Proponent Is Similar Or Better Condition. Any And All Electrical Components And Wiring To Be Specified And Installed By Proponent (If Needed) Any New Traffic Light Heads, If Needed, Will Be Up To The Proponent To Procure And Install All New Wiring For Installation Of Cameras, Computer System, Etc Is Up To Proponent To Install All Works Associated To Getting New System Programed, Up And Running Is Up To Proponent Traffic Lights Can Be Left In Flashing When Works Is Being Completed. Once Hardware Is Installed, Traffic And Pedestrian Flow Will Be Programmed By Proponent. City Employees To Be Trained On New System (Usage And Maintenance).
