Tenders Are Invited For The Installation Of A Roof Mounted Solar Pv System, Replacement Of Lighting, Replacement Of The Kitchen Equipment, Heating And Hot Water Boiler Plant At St Stephens Junior School, South Gloucestershire

The Project Requirement Over The Summer 2023 Period Is:I. Replacement Of The Existing Gas Fired Boiler Plant With New Packaged External Air Source Heat Pumps, New Primary And Secondary Distribution Pumps, New Plant Room Pipework And Associated Systems.Ii. New Controls System For The New Heating.Iii. Replacement Of Heat Emitters Throughout The Building.Iv. Construction Of External Plant Enclosure (Concrete Base And Fence) For The New Air Source Heat Pump Units.V. Replace Fluorescent Lighting With Ledvi. Replace Existing Gas Kitchen Catering Equipment With New Electric Models, With Power Supplies Being Provided/Upgraded As Necessary.Vii. Installation Of A Roof Mounted Solar Pv System.At St Stephens Junior School, Lansdown Road, Kingswood, Bs15 8Xd.This Work Is Being Undertaken As Part Of The Council’S 2023/24 Schools Capital Repair And Maintenance Programme. Partial Funding For The Project Has Also Been Received From The Public Sector Decarbonisation Fund Phase 3B.The Council Is Seeking A Gas Safetm/ Niceic Approved Electrical Contractor To Act As Principal Contractor With The Capability And Experience To Manage Specialist Sub-Contractors To Undertake And Execute The Contract Works. The Council Will Not Consent To The Whole Of The Works To Be Sub-Contracted. It Is Essential That This Project Is Successfully Executed During The Summer Recess, So The Contractor Will Need To Demonstrate They Have Recently Completed At Least One Similar Project Successfully (Similar Scope Of Work, Similar Value And Similar Timescale) And They Have The Competency And Sufficient Resources To Meet These Deadlines.The Contractor Shall Appoint A Full-Time Site-Based Representative (I.E. Site/Contract Manager) Throughout The Works On Site. It Is Expected The Contractor Will Have To Work Longer Weekdays And Weekends During The School Holiday Period (24Th July To 31St August 2023) To Complete The Work Within The Contract Programme Requirements And Include These Costs In Their Tender.The Works Shall Be Carried Out In Accordance With The Construction (Design And Management) Regulations 2015. The Contractors Will Need To Demonstrate They Are Fully Conversant With Their Responsibilities Under The Regulations In Their Tender Return And Allow For All Costs Associated With Their Management Of The Contract.The Whole Of The Works Are To Be Carried Out In Accordance With The Terms And Conditions Of The Jct Standard Building Contract Without Quantities 2016, Published On Behalf Of The Joint Contracts Tribunal Limited By Thomson Reuters (Legal) Limited Trading As Sweet & Maxwell. The Contractor Shall Obtain A Copy Of The Joint Contracts Tribunal Limited Standard Building Contract Without Quantities 2016 And Shall Make Themselves Aware Of The Conditions Therein. The Solar Pv System Will Be A Contractors Designed Portion (Cdp) Under The Jct Contract.The Deadline For Tender Returns Is 21St June 2023 At 12Pm (Noon).
