The Bmwk Intends To Commission A Project Management Agency To Take Over And Carry Out Project Management Tasks For The Industrial Joint Research (Igf). Pre-Competitive Research Projects Are Funded With The Open-Topic Bmwk Funding Program Industrial Joint Research (Igf). In Particular, Small And Medium-Sized Enterprises (Smes) That Cannot Afford Their Own Research Should Be Given Easier Access To Practice-Oriented Research Through The Igf. The Results Of The Igf Research Projects Must Be Published And Are Available To All Interested Companies Across All Sectors. The Igf Is Open To Topics, Industries And Technologies. It Can Thus Act Flexibly As A Trend Accelerator And Contribute To Overcoming Current Challenges In Promising Fields Of Technology. Ideas For The Research Projects Funded By The Igf Can Be Smes, Research Institutions Or Research Associations (Fv). The Working Group Of Industrial Research Associations Otto Von Guericke E.V. (Aif) Is Currently Administering The Funding Program On The Basis Of A Contract Concluded Between The Bmwk And The Aif E.V., Which Was Terminated By The Bmwk With Effect From December 31, 2023. Currently, 101 Non-Profit, Industrial Research Associations, Which Must Be Members Of The Aif E.V. And Represent Various Industries, Are Eligible For Applications And Grants In The Igf. The Circle Of Those Eligible To Apply For Igf Funding Will Be Opened Up From January 1, 2024, So That Other Business-Based Research Associations Can Also Be Authorized For The Funding Program In Addition To Those Currently Eligible To Apply. To Do This, They Must Meet The Quality Standards Specifically Described In The Appendix To The Funding Guidelines, As Must The Research Associations That Have Previously Been Eligible To Apply By January 1, 2026.
