The Federation Of Lapland Is Requesting Your Offer For The Preparation Of The Lapland Wind Power Report 2023–2024 For The Region Of Lapland. The Ministry Of The Environment Has Granted A Grant For The Preparation Of The 2023–2024 Wind Energy Survey Of The Finnish Federation Of Lapland. The Survey Must Be Completed By October 16, 2024. Background And Starting Points Of The Work Laplands Wind Power Survey 2022 Was Completed At The End Of 2022, Where A Total Of 46 Potential Wind Power Areas Were Identified. In The 2022 Buffer Analysis And The Technical-Economic Review Of The Wind Turbine Survey, The Total Height Of The Power Plant Was 300 Meters. The Size Class Of Potential Wind Power Areas Varies Between 11 And 342 Km2. The Wind Power Areas Enable A Theoretical Number Of Power Plants Of Approximately 2,861, Of Which Approximately 850 Power Plants Are Located In The Sea Area. In Connection With The Actual Project Planning And The Related Power Glass Placement, Regional Special Features Are Taken Into Account In More Detail. In This Report, It Can Be Estimated That About 2/3 Of The Wind Power Plants Would Be Feasible, I.E. A Total Of About 1,907 Wind Power Plants, Of Which About 570 Power Plants Are Located In The Sea Area. Laplands Wind Power Survey 2022 Did Not Include The Sámis Home Region. After The Survey, Numerous New Pending Wind Power Projects That Were Not Mentioned In The Survey Have Been Identified. Regionally Significant Wind Power Areas Contain At Least 10 Wind Turbines. Content Of The Work The Aim Of The Lapland Wind Power Survey 2023–2024 Is To Map Regionally Significant (At Least 10) Wind Power Areas In The Lapland Region And Areas Suitable For Industrial-Scale Solar Power Production, And To Prepare An Adequate Survey And An Assessment Of Significant Impacts As Referred To In Section 9 Of The Land Use And Building Act As Baseline Data For Possible Provincial Zoning And To Support Municipal Zoning. The Report Must Be Drawn Up In Such A Way That It Meets The Requirement Level Of The Basic Report Of The Provincial Scale According To The Land Use And Construction Act. The Report Is Not Intended To Eliminate The Project-Specific Need For More Detailed Reports Or The Interaction And Participation Procedure That Is An Integral Part Of Planning. The Results Of The Survey To Be Prepared Will Be Used In The Next Overall Provincial Plan Or Phase Plan To Be Prepared. The Survey Being Prepared Will Thus Contribute To The Future Regional Planning. The Lapland Wind Power Survey 2023–2024 Will Supplement The Lapland Wind Power Survey 2022 In Possible New Areas (The Presentations Of Municipalities And Operators That Have Been Received Since The Completion Of The Previous Survey Will Be Taken Into Account). The Goal Is Also To Find Out The Projects Of Project Operators That Are Not Yet Publicly Pending. The Report Details The Assessment Of Joint Effects. The Work Also Includes Finding Out The Wind Power Potential In The Sámis Home Region. The Goal Is Also To Find Out If There Are Large Wind Farm Areas In Lapland, In Connection With Which The Industrial Activity Of Renewable Energy Could Be Developed, E.G. The Production Of Hydrogen Or Other Renewable Fuel, So-Called As Off-Grid Areas. The Report Also Examines The Possibility Of Assigning Solar Energy Areas.
