The Masterplan Focuses On Transport And Public Realm Improvements Within Wnaka Town Centre, While The Programme Business Case Focuses On Transport Needs Within The Wider Wnaka Area, As Well As Changes To The Transport Network To Support The Desired Outcomes Of The Masterplan. Based On Strong And Divided Community Feedback On The Masterplan, In November 2019 The Wnaka Community Board Agreed To Progress The Wanaka Network Optimisation Single Stage Business Case To Implement The Needs Identified From The 2019 Wanaka Master Plan Which Included The Transport Programme Business Case. Outcomes Qldc Are Looking For Is Improved Access, Particularly In Response To Ongoing Developments, Mode Shift Away From Private Vehicles, Improved Safety For All Modes, Improved Level Of Service, Improved Visitor Experience And A Transport Network That Is Future Proofed For Growth And Sustainability.
