General Procurement Notice For Provision Of Goods, Works, And Related Services And Consulting Services For Enhancing The National Quality Infrastructure For Competitiveness. The Government Of Guyana Has Received Financing In The Amount Equivalent To Eight Million United States Dollars (Us $8,000,000.00) From The Inter-American Development Bank (Idb), And It Intends To Apply Part Of The Proceeds To Payments For Goods, Works, And Related Services And Consulting Services To Be Procured Under The Project Enhancing The National Quality Infrastructure For Competitiveness. Bidding Will Be Governed By The Inter-American Development BankS Eligibility Rules And Procedures. The Main Objectives Of This Project Are To Support Economic Competitiveness Through The Promotion Of Adopting Quality Standards Among Micro, Small, And Medium Enterprising Businesses Within Guyana By Supporting Their Need For Certification, Especially Among Women-Owned Enterprises. Focus Will Also Be Given To Developing A National Quality Policy And Constructing A New Metrology Laboratory Facility For The Guyana National Bureau Of Standards. Procurement Processes Of Contracts Financed By The Inter-American Development Bank Will Be Conducted In Accordance With The Policies For Procurement Of Goods And Works Financed By The Inter-American Development Bank [Gn-2349-15] And Is Open To All Eligible Bidders As Defined In The Policies.
