The New Animal Shelter Building Will Be Constructed On The Same Site Where The Previous Animal Shelter Operated, At 79 Ngaumutawa Road, Masterton 5810. The Site Has Been Cleared For The Construction Of A Purpose-Built Facility And Is Ready For Utility Connection And Immediate Construction. The Animal Shelter Building Will Be The Core Facility That Provides Animal Care And Control For The Masterton District Community. The Pre-Construction Phase Of This Project Was Critical To Ensuring Value For Money, Optimising The Scope And Programme Through Design To Achieve The Project Brief. The New Animal Shelter Design Is Based On Current Capacity Requirements And Consideration Of The Requirements For The Next 10+ Years. The Successful Completion Of The Shelter Will Enable Mdc To Project A More Positive Image To Its Community, Despite The Enforcement Role Mdc Must Play With Animal Control.
