Over The Next Few Years, All Twelve Historic Locks On The Finow Canal Are To Be Repaired By The Zweckverband Region Finow Canal. The Basic Repair Is Divided Into Two Projects. The First Project (Lock Package 1) Includes The Basic Repair Of The Ruhlsdorf, Leesenbrück, Grafenbrück, Schöpfurt Locks (Only Modernization To The Self-Service Lock And New Construction Of The Operating Building), Heegermühle And Wolfswinkel As Well As The Conversion And Expansion Of The Control Center In Zerpenschleuse. In The Second Project (Lock Package 2), The Locks At Drahthammer, Kupferhammer, Eberswalde, Ragöse, Stecher And Liepe Will Be Renovated Or Fundamentally Repaired. The Basic Objective Is The Preservation Of The Lock Structures And Thus The Permanent Use Of The Finow Canal For Motorized And Human-Powered Watercraft. The Structural Implementation Of The Lock Package 1 Is Based On Two Execution Packages That Are Staggered In Time: Implementation Package 1 (Ap1): Ruhlsdorf, Leesenbrück, Grafenbrück Locks And The Expansion Of The Control Center Implementation Package 2 (Ap2): Heegermühle And Wolfswinkel Locks And The Schöpfurt Lock. Lot 4 Of Lock Package 1 (Execution Package 2) Includes The Following Lots: I) Lot 4.1: Solid Construction, Hydraulic Steelwork And Mechanical Engineering Of The Heegermühle Lock And Preparation For The Automation Of The Schöpfurt Lock Ii) Lot 4.2: Solid Construction, Hydraulic Steelwork And Mechanical Engineering Of The Wolfswinkel Lock Iii) Lot 4.3: Construction Of The Moorings/Waiting Places (Heegermühle And Wolfswinkel). The Subject Of This Tender Is The Structural Implementation Of Lot 4.1 From Execution Package 2 Of Lock Package 1. Between 2005 And 2007, The Schöpfurt Lock Underwent A Major Overhaul. Therefore, The Structural Measures At This Location Only Include Adjustments To The Lock / Waiting Areas To Automate Lock Operation. The Basic Repair Of The Heegermühle Lock Requires The Complete Demolition Of The Existing Structures. The Replacement Building Will Then Be Erected In The Same Place. Self-Service With Remote Monitoring Is Planned For Regular Operation Of The New Locks. The New Self-Operated Locks Are Monitored Via The Newly Built Operations Building Of The Control Center At The Zerpen Lock.
