The 2nl Project Is A Partnership Between Waka Kotahi, Muapoko And Hap Of Ngti Raukawa Ki Te Tonga. The Project Entered The Pre-Implementation Phase Last Year And Reached Key Milestones With Lodgement Of Notices Of Requirement (Nor) And Applications For Resource Consents. Physical Construction Is Set To Start In 2025 And Is Expected To Be Completed In 2029. Subject To Confirming Required Funding And All Approvals For Construction, The Project Team Intends To Go To Market Later This Year To Procure Two Alliances For The Design And Construction Of The New 2nl State Highway And Walking And Cycling Path. In Preparation For This Process, An Expression Of Interest (Eoi) Is Expected To Be Issued On Gets In Early May 2023 Along With Additional Details On The Project And Expected Procurement Approach. The Purpose Of This Eoi Will Be To Identify Parties (Constructors And Designers) That Will Be Interested In Submitting A Proposal For This Project. Responding To This Eoi Will Involve Submitting A Brief Letter Confirming The Interest And Details Of The Individual Company And/Or Consortia. The Eoi Will Not Be A Shortlisting Or Formal Procurement Process, However It Is Our Intention To Release Further Project Information To Respondents To This Eoi Only And Potentially Engage In Open Forum/Further Discussions, Prior To Any Formal Procurement Process And Release Of Request For Proposals Document.
