The Proposed Consulting Service Will Support Selected Key Areas In Conjunction With The Ensuing Loan, Focusing On: (I) Enhanced Sector Planning And Financing (Ii) Improved Maintenance Of Assets; (Ii) Enhanced Safety; (Iii) A Long-Term Road Sector Institutional Reform And (Iv) Changes To The Business Process And Management Capabilities Of Mid With Regard To The Road Transport Sector And Shipping. The Business Procedures Will Cover: (I) Strategic Planning And Resource Allocation; (Ii) Design Management In Terms Of Revisit Codes And Standards And Ensure Quality At Entry; (Iii) Procurement And Contracting Processes; (Iv) Asset Management (V) Quality Assurance Systems, (Vi) Regulatory Mechanisms, And (Vi) Knowledge And Human Resources Management. The ConsultantS Tasks Will Also Include Capacity Development Focusing On The Cpiu And The Pmu Set Up For Adb Project, And Support To Pmu For Preparation Of Tranches 2 And 3 Submission. The Cross Cutting Theme To Be Addressed By The Consultancy Service Will Be In Terms Of: (I) Technology And It Applications In The Business Process Upgradation; (Ii) Safeguards Management; (Iii) Sector Financing Modalities, And (Iv) Knowledge Management And Capacity Building.
