The New Papamoa East Interchange Will Be Constructed At The Eastern End Of Te Okuroa Drive And Will Provide Direct On And Off Access To State Highway 2. Enabling Works Phases 1 & 2 Are Already Underway. Phase 1 Consists Of The Preparatory Earthworks, Pre-Compaction And Settlement Of Land Areas Scheduled For Future Fill As Part Of Phase 3. Phase 2 Consists Of An Extension Of Te Okuroa Drive And An Intersection Between Te Okuroa And A Future New Sands Avenue. This Phase Is Currently Out For Tender. Phase 3 (The Subject Of This Expression Of Interest) Consists Of The Construction Of The State Highway Interchange Itself And Also Includes The Completion Of The Connections Between Sands Avenue And Te Okuroa Drive. There Is Potential, Subject To Phase 3 Contractors Performance, To Include Phase 4 Scope Into The Phase 3 Contract, Which Is Additional Roading Infrastructure On Te Okuroa Drive To Provide Access To Future Commercial Or Retail Areas.
