The Märkische Kreis In Lüdenscheid Would Like To Modernize The Backup Concept Of All Locations. Backup Servers Are Currently Installed At All External Locations, Both Virtual And As Separate Hardware. These Are Not Part Of The Tender And Are To Be Integrated/Migrated Into The New Concept. After The Evening Backup, The Daily Backup Statuses From The Various Locations Are Replicated To A Large Storage Facility At An External Location And Backed Up To Tape At This External Location Once A Month. Arcserve Udp Is Used As Backup Software. 18 Different Vmware And 2 Nutanix Environments In Different Configurations And Sizes Are To Be Secured. Of These, 15 Environments Have <= 1 Tb, 3 Environments <= 1.5 Tb, One Environment Around 12 Tb And The Largest Environment In The District Center Around 60 Tb Of Data To Be Backed Up. The External Locations Are Almost All Connected With 1 Gbit Synchronous Lines. Except For One Location That Is Currently Equipped With 400 Mbit Down / 40 Mbit Up, This Will Be Increased To 1 Gbit Down / 40 Mbit Up In The Near Future. The Märkische Kreis Relies On Functioning, Reliable Information Technology That Is As Easy To Administer As Possible. The New Components Must Meet The Highest Requirements In Terms Of Availability And Data Consistency. In Addition, The New Concept Of The Backup Environment Should Offer More Data Security. The Project Includes The Renewal Of The Existing Backup Environment And Thus The Delivery Of Servers, Storage Systems, Tape Libraries And The Associated Services. The Project Should Be Implemented As Quickly As Possible.
