Tenders Are Invited For Construction Of Stormwater Channels And Temporary Dam At Orapa Mine Blue Area Orapa Mine Intends To Engage An Experienced Contractor For The Construction Of Surface Stormwater Channels And Temporary Dam At Orapa Mine Blue Area As Per The ClientS Requirements As Part Of The Ongoing Oldm Stormwater Management Strategy. Only Contractors Who Can Demonstrate Commitment To The Meaningful Employment Of Citizens, Local Procurement, Skills Transfer To Local Contractors Where Majority Foreign Owned, As Well As Technical Capability In The Execution Of Works Of Similar Nature And Scale Are Invited To Tender. The Following Requirements, Along With Other Pre-Requisites Stated In The Rfp, Should Be Met To Be Eligible To Tender; The Contractor Should Have Over 5 Years Experience Working On Construction Of Stormwater Channels And Dams Projects Or Works Of Similar Nature Amounting To Bwp 50Million Or More (Traceable References And Profile Of Nature Of Works Should Be Provided At The Time Of Tender Submission). The Contractor Should Demonstrate Ownership Of Atleast 50% Of The Plant And Equipment Proposed For The Works (Proof Of Ownership Required), And For The Remaining 50% Of Equipment, Should Demonstrate Access In The Form Of Rental Lease From Potential Suppliers Or Capital To Acquire. Joint Ventures (As A Legally Registered Entity Or Through A Joint Venture Agreement), Partnerships And Sub-Contracting Is Permissible. Bidders Representative At Site Visit Should Possess Strong Technical Background In Terms Of Assessing Scope Of Work And Site Conditions Bidders Are Required To Attend A Compulsory Site Visit In Order To Familiarize Themselves With The Site, The Scope Of Works And The Conditions Under Which The Works Are To Be Executed. Bidders Are To Meet Mr. Rapula Rampitikwane At The Technical Block (Tlou Boardroom), Orapa Mine At 08:00Hrs For She, Security & Social Way Induction And Will Then Proceed To Orapa Mine Blue Area For The Site Visit. Bidders Are Required To Ensure Completion Of The Required Entry Permit Application Process (Botswana Police Clearance Shall Be Required), Arrange Their Own Transport, Meals And Accommodation.
