The Main Objective Of The Financial And Accounting Audit Of The Project Is To Provide A Professional Opinion On The Use Of Jiji And Mulembwe Hydroelectric Project (Phjimu) Funds And To Ensure That The Resources Made Available To The Project Have Been Used For The Purposes For Which They Were Granted While Ensuring That (I) The Financial Statements, Which Are Established By The Phjimu Project Implementation Unit, Are Developed To Report On The Completeness And Compliance Of Financial Transactions And (Ii) The Phjimu Project Execution Unit Maintains An Adequate Control System And Acceptable Documentation Of Transactions. The Audit Will Be Conducted In Accordance With Ifacs International Standards On Auditing (Isas) And Will Include Such Audit Tests And Procedures As The Auditor Deems Necessary In The Circumstances. The Audit Of The Phjimu Project For Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Will Cover The Period From 1 July 2022 To 30 June 2023. 3. Regideso/Phjimu Invites Eligible Consulting Firms ("Consultants") To Express Their Interest In Providing The Services Described Above. Interested Consultants Must Provide Information Demonstrating That They Possess The Required Qualifications And Relevant Experience For The Performance Of The Services. The Qualifications Of The Auditor For The Establishment Of The Shortlist Are: The Consultant Must Be An Audit And Accounting Firm Of Good Character, Independent, Member Of An Order Recognized By Ifac, Usual Profession Of Auditing Accounts, And Having Proven Experience In Financial Audit Of The Accounts Of Development Projects Including Projects Financed By The World Bank (At Least 5 Audit Missions Of Projects Financed By The World Bank Would Be A Significant Asset). The Big Five Are Strongly Encouraged To Apply. Consortia Of Firms Are Authorized On The Sole Condition That Each Member Of The Consortium Is A Member Of An Order Of Professional Accountants That Is A Member Of Ifac. The Firm Must Provide Proof Of Its Membership In The Order Of Professional Accountants Where It Is Registered And Especially Proof Of Its Regularity Vis-À-Vis This Order.
