It Is Implemented By A National Coordination (Nc) And A National Steering Committee (Cnp) Composed Of Representatives Of Undp, The Government, Research Centers, Civil Society Organizations (Csos) And The Private Sector. The Cnp Selects Projects On The Basis Of Criteria Consistent With The Sustainable Development Priorities Of The Gef, Undp And The Gabonese State. The Gef-Fmp Is Based On A Participatory Approach That Emphasizes The Empowerment Of Local Communities In Project Implementation. These Communities Collaborate With Technical Services And Local Authorities For A Better Articulation Of Projects With Local And National Development Policies. The Priority Areas Of The Gef-Mfp Are Biodiversity, Climate Change, Land Degradation, Control Of Organic Pollutants, Waste Management, International Waters And Capacity Building.
