Request For Proposals Are Invited For Reviewing And Updating Of Kiribati Diseases Outbreak Manual Deadline: 03-Feb-2023 23:59 (Gmt 8.00) Beijing, Perth, Singapore, Hong Kong Background Ministry Of Health And Medical Services In Kiribati Developed The Kiribati Diseases Outbreak Manual In 2019, Edition 1.4. This Was Based On An Earlier Version From 2008. The Content Of This Outbreak Manual Aligns With Other Key Guideline Documents Used In Kiribati Including; Kiribati Pandemic Preparedness Plan, Mhms Strategic Plan, Kiribati Therapeutic Drug Guidelines, Who Integrated Management Of Child Illness (Imci), Kiribati Clinical Guidelines, Tb Management Guidelines, And The Draft Quarantine Bill. There Is A Need To Update This Manual, To Improve Usability, Including Greater Detail Re Reporting Structure And Roles And Responsibilities Of Different Levels Of The Health Service And Any Updates To Disease Definitions And Responses, Aligned With Who Guidance. Purpose/Specific Objective Of The Activity The Purpose Of This Contract Is To Conduct A Review On The Framework For Kiribati Diseases Outbreak Manual. This Review Will Assist In Identifying Gaps And Make Amendments Needed On This Manual Framework Which Will Bring A New Version Of This Manual In Addressing Issues And Promote Reporting Of Outbreak Diseases In Kiribati. Description Of Activities To Be Carried Out Objective 1: Kiribati Outbreak Manual Reviewed And Updated. Deliverable 1.1: A Detailed Workplan Developed Demonstrating How The Review Will Be Completed, Including Timelines, Key Consultation Dates And Modes And Other Inputs Needed. Deliverable 1.2: A Draft Manual Developed And Shared With The Ministry Of Health And Who For Consultation And Feedback Deliverable 1.3: A New Version Of The Manual Is Completed, Based On Feedback Received. Deliverable 1.4: Orientation To The New Manual Conducted For Senior Staff In The Mhms, Including Department Leads. Methods To Carry Out The Activity Collaborative Consultation With Those Who Are To Be Accessing And Using This Document Like Doctors, Nurses, Laboratory Unit And So Forth. Consultation With Who Review Of Any Updated Global Guidance On Diseases Of Relevance To Kiribati Qualifications & Experience Essential: Qualification In Epidemiology, Communicable Disease Outbreaks Or Other Health-Related Fields. Desirable: Masters In Public Health, Epidemiology Or Other Health-Related Fields Experience Essential: At Least Ten Years Relevant Experience In Conducting Health Sector Reviews At Programmatic And Organisational Levels. Demonstrated Experience In Designing And Evaluating Strategies And Policies For The Health Sector Through Use Of Formative Assessment. Proven Experience In Leading Health Sector Reviews In Developing Country Settings, Preferably In The Pacific Region. Desirable: Prior Experience In Pacific Island Countries Sound Knowledge And Understanding Of The Kiribati Health System, Including Experience Of Working With Government And Non-Government Organisations Preferred. The Inclusion Of A Local Team Member Within Kiribati Is Preferred. Technical Skills And Knowledge Essential: Have Basic Workable Understanding Of Outbreak Preparedness And Response Strategies Demonstrate Experience In Designing And Evaluating Guidelines And Strategies A Minimum Of 3 Years Of Working Experience In The Public Health Department Or Other Health Related Fields Desirable: Previously Working Within The Same Field And Within Kiribati. Technical Skills & Knowledge Demonstrate The Ability To Work And Engage With Intersectoral Representatives Team Within The Ministry Of Health And Medical Services. Ability To Work Under Pressure To Meet Tight Deadlines Computer Literacy Languages English Excellent Skills In Written And Spoken English Competencies Report Writing Additional Information Travel To Kiribati Is Required, Although Some Parts Of The Work May Be Conducted Remotely.
