Consultant To Provide The Technical Support To Medical Education Department For Developing Medical Colleges Supporting Health Systems Strengthening Projects - Infrastructure Component Approval Date: 02-Oct-2021 Estimated Commencement Date: 500,000 Usd Engagement Period: 6 Month Objective And Purpose Of The Assignment The State Government Of Maharashtra Intends To Strengthen The Availability Of Human Resources For Tertiary Care Especially In Rural Areas And Improve Governance And Delivery Efficiency In Tertiary Care And Medical Education. The Consultant Shall Provide The Technical Support To Medical Education Department For Developing Medical Colleges By Upgrading District Hospitals To Teaching Hospitals For Establishment Of Medical Colleges At Selected Districts In The State. Therefore, The Consultant Will Assess The 11 District Hospitals And Prepare Detailed Assessment Reports And Cost Estimates For 6 Selected District Hospitals To Be Upgraded Into Teaching Hospitals.
