GB-Shrewsbury: RONB 144 - Replacement Of Ventilation Ductwork To Quarry Pooldescription The Purpose Of The Contract Is To Replace The Corroded And Inaccessible Existing Ventilation Ductwork Above The Main Quarry Pool Hall And Replace It With A Different And Accessible Alternative. The Existing Metal Ductwork Which Delivered And Returned Air At Within The Ceiling Void Shall Be Previously Stripped Out Under A Separate Contract. The Present Contract Is To Replace It By A New Delivery System As Detailed On Drawings Employing Suspended Fabric Ducts With Directional Outlets At High Level And Wall Mounted Perimeter Ductwork On Three Sides At Mid-Level. Return Air Will Be Removed Via Existing Ductwork And Grilles At High Level And New Low Velocity Grilles Will Be Installed At Low Level Providing A General Mass Movement Of Air Towards The Rear End Wall. Following Further Detailed Examination During The Course Of The Contract, Should The Use Of The Existing Mid-Level Ductwork Prove To Be Unviable, Then A Second Fabric Delivery Duct Shall Be Provided. The Existing Ventilation Plant In The Plant Room, Comprising Two Supply &Amp; Extract Air Handling Units Will Be Retained. The Existing Four Main Ducts From The Plant Will Be Cut Back And Modified To Connect To The New Ductwork. Installation Of Ductwork To Be By Specialist Manufacturer To Include Builder's Work And Making Good.
