Expression Of Interest Are Invited For Testing The Relationship Between Climate Shocks, Perception Of Inequality And Social Unrest In The Solomon Islands. The Focus Of This Project Is The Quantification Of Risk Of Social Unrest Stemming From Climate And/Or Economic Shocks In The Solomon Islands. There Are Four Broad Components To This Contract, With Three Supplementary Papers. A First Component Will Be The Development Of The Risk Model To Explore The Complex Relationships Listed Above Surrounding Climate, Economic And Public Health Shocks, Long-Term Stressors, And Violence. This Will Require Exposure To Traditional And Alternative Datasets, Meet Acceptable Scientific And Engineering Standards, And Complement Ongoing Work Of Public Financial Management Strategies To Help, Potentially, Further Reduce Vulnerability To Social Unrest. The Model Should Disaggregate Via At Least Two Separate Regions Apart From The Entire Territory Of The Solomon Islands. A Second Component Will Be The Development Of A Technical Model And Methodology Report That Will Describe The Creation And Operation Of The Model, Its Data And Findings, And Discuss In Detail Interpretation Of Its Graphs, Line Charts, And Other Visualizations. A Third Component Will Be The Delivery Of A Solomon Islands Risk Profile Report. The Risk Profile Report Will Describe And Discuss In Detail The Risks Resulting From The Intersection Of Insecurity Stressors (With A Focus On Public Health, Natural Disaster And Economic Shocks). The Report Will Discuss Perceived Grievances In Mobilizing Groups, And The Agency Of Influential Actors And Economic Phenomena In That Process.
