Expression Of Interest Are Invited For End Of Term Evaluation Of The Ifc Agri-Processing Resource Efficiency Program In 2019 Ifc And The State Secretariat For Economic Affairs Of The Swiss Confederation (Seco) Launched The Agri-Processing Resource Efficiency (Apre), A 54-Month Program To Support The Post-Harvesting Agri-Processing Sector In South Africa To Improve Sustainability And Competitiveness, Emphasizing Reductions In Water And Energy Use. The Program Has Prioritized Animal Slaughtering, Dairy Processing, And Fruit And Vegetable Processing As Top Three Sub-Sectors To Focus On. The Apre Program Has Three Components:(1)Client Advisory And Implementation Support To Companies On Water Efficiency Measures,(2)Working With Public And Private Stakeholders In Three Geographic Clusters To Propose Specific Policy Measures To Support Improved Water Efficiency And (3) Engaging With Agri-Processing Companies And Sector Aggregators To Develop And Disseminate Replicable Solutions And Best Practices.
