Tenders Are Invited For Repairs to galvanized railings East and West Marina Breakwaters - Dun Laoghaire Harbour

Dun Laoghaire Harbour is under the ownership and control of Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council. The Council propose to repair the East and West Breakwater Railings. The East Breakwater railings consist of vertical uprights holding a single handrail which sit atop a low wall, while the West Breakwater railings are comprised of vertical posts with 3 horizontal rails. The railing construction consists of uprights which are bolted to the wall/ground, with 40mm box section steel rails running horizontally through them. In total there is 1150m of railings, consisting of; 470 meters of railing incorporating 260 uprights requiring repair on the East Breakwater (Northern side only) and 680 meters with 380 uprights requiring repair on the West Breakwater (both sides). There are also 8 posts securing life buoys to be replaced with galvanized box-section.
