Laboratory Analysis Of Polycyclic Aromatic Compounds In Biological Tissues - Project Overview The Resource Stewardship Division Of Alberta Environment And Parks (Aep) Is Responsible For Providing Credible Scientific Data And Relevant Information On The Conditions Of Alberta’S Environment. The Department’S Mandate Is To Provide The Timely And Objective Monitoring, Evaluation And Reporting Of Data And Information On Air, Land, Water And Biodiversity, Including Information Necessary To Understand Cumulative Effects, In Order To Better Inform The Understanding Of The Public, Policy Makers, Regulators, Planners, Researchers, Communities, And Industry. The Objective Of This Project Is To Establish Spatial And Temporal Patterns Of Contaminants Of Concern In Biological Tissues (E.G. Fish, Invertebrates). This Is To Support Multiple Work Plans Throughout The Alberta Oil Sands Region. These Work Plans Include The Collection Of Various Biological Samples. The Successful Contractor Would Then Be Required To Homogenize, Extract, And Analyzed Them. This Rfp Will Establish A Contract With A Commercial Laboratory To Provide The Analytical Services For The Analysis Of Parent And Alkylated Polycyclic Aromatic Compounds (Pacs) In Biological Tissues Including Fish. Detailed Description Of The Analytical Services Are Outlined In Appendix B.
